Evaluation of impacted teeth with Cone Beam CT (CBCT)

Impacted teeth are a common problem for dentists who, while trying to establish the actual position of the inclusion, often have numerous endoral and/or panoramic x-rays taken so as to plan correct, safe surgery with no complications. By doing so however, they expose patients to doses of radiation that can nowadays be greatly reduced thanks to cone beam technology that is so well suited to this type of diagnosis.
Knowing the exact location of a tooth to be extracted significantly reduces surgery time and thus facilitates post-operative recovery.

Knowing the exact location of the tooth to be extracted is to reduce the time of surgery and thus facilitate the postoperative course.
